4 IN 10 CALIFORNIANS DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH AT
HOME
"A stunning 43 percent of California residents speak a
language other than English at home, according to census figures
released on Tuesday.
"And 20 percent of Californians feel they don’t speak English
‘very well.’
"By contrast, fewer than 20 percent of Americans overall
speak another language at home, and fewer than 9 percent say
they don’t speak English ‘very well.’
"The San Francisco Bay area has many immigrants from Asian
nations, as well as the Latin American immigrants who
predominate in Southern California, the San Francisco Chronicle
reports.
"The state has the largest proportion of immigrant residents
among the 50 states, at 27 percent of the population, according
to the census figures.
" ‘It’s very disturbing when one in five people is not
communicating in the common language,’ Victor Davis Hanson, a
senior fellow at the Hoover Institute and author of the book
‘Mexifornia: A State of Becoming,’ told the Chronicle.
" ‘Culturally, it creates a sort of tribalism … We have
shared values and a shared Constitution; we also have to have a
shared culture and language.
" ‘It’s time to go back to the melting pot, control the
borders, and let assimilation, integration and intermarriage
work.’" Source: Newsmax, Jim Meyers, September 23, 2008.
West Point Songs Go PC |

EMASCULATION OF U.S. MILITARY MOVES "FORWARD"
"The U.S. Military Academy has incorporated
gender-neutral lyrics into West Point’s Alma Mater and
The Corps, replacing lines such as ‘The men of the Corps’
with ‘The ranks of the Corps.’ Superintendent Lt. Gen. Franklin
‘Buster’ Hagenbeck said the changes came after officials
attended funerals for female graduates killed in combat and
heard the line ‘Guide us, thy sons’ being sung. It now reads,
‘Guide us, thine own.’ The songs were written about a century
ago; the first female cadets joined the Long Gray Line in 1976."

NATO COULD TRAP U.S. INTO POSSIBLE WORLD WAR
III
I have long argued that the United States should withdraw
from NATO for many reasons, not least of them the fact that our
treaty obligations under NATO require that we go to war in
defense of any NATO member government which comes under attack.
We can be thankful that the Republic of Georgia has not yet
been admitted to NATO membership. Had it been admitted, in the
present context the United States would be obliged to go to war
with Russia in defense of Georgia.
OBAMA DOWNPLAYS REALITY OF NAU
Here’s what Barack Obama has had to say about the North
American Union:
"I can assure you that while the U.S. government continues to
talk with other countries on trade, security and other issues,
there are no plans to cede American sovereignty to other
countries and form a North American continental government. The
administration has a ‘Security and Prosperity Partnership’
(http://www.spp.gov) with Mexico and Canada to improve security
and commercial relations on the continent. I agree that the
merits of this partnership should be examined further." Source:

Harmonizing With Red China |
September 4, 2008 |

PRESIDENT BUSH’S PRO-CHICOM TREASURY SECRETARY
HAS PUSHED SUCCESSFULLY FOR HARMONIZATION OF U.S. POLICIES WITH
THOSE OF RED CHINA
"[S]ome people suggest
that China is a threat that must be countered or contained.
Others argue that its growth is an opportunity for the U.S.
economy and that Washington should manage this rising power
through engagement. I [Henry Paulson] believe that engagement is
the only path to success.
"President George W. Bush chose this approach…President Bush
engaged Beijing and did so based on the recognition of china’s
twin priorities: territorial integrity and economic growth. …
"To be effective, however, Washington must first understand
Beijing’s interests and the challenges it faces. …
"[D]ifferences with China must not be allowed to stand in the
way of progress and cooperation. …
"In 2006, President Bush and Chinese President Hu Jintao
launched the U.S.-China Strategic Economic Dialogue (SED) to
manage both immediate tensions between the two countries and
their expanding relationship over the long term. …
"President Hu has said that it is the Chinese government’s
job to ensure ‘harmony,’. …
"[I] have had regular and welcome access to President Hu and
Premier Wen to talk about the most important economic issues in
the U.S.-Chinese relationship. In August 2007, I discussed the
adverse impact of economic nationalism in both the United States
and China with President Hu. …
"[E]conomic nationalism…has been a growing concern in the
United States in recent years. Low-cost imports, particularly
from China, sometimes have a negative image among the American
public…Foreign investment into the United States, especially by
sovereign wealth funds and state-owned enterprises, is also
increasingly viewed with suspicion by some U.S. companies,
various members of the national security community, and the
American public at large. …
"These concerns are misplaced. Like many countries
accumulating large foreign exchange reserves, China is simply
looking for profitable places to invest them over the long term.
China invests its reserves in U.S. securities, including U.S.
Treasuries, but there is little Chinese direct investment in the
United States…the United States would do well to encourage such
investment from anywhere in the world—including China. …
"[I]t is in talks to join the Inter-American Development
Bank. U.S. officials have encouraged their efforts through the
SED and so facilitated China’s integration into the global
economic system." Source: Henry M. Paulson, Jr., U.S. Secretary
of the Treasury, Foreign Affairs Magazine,

Actions You
Can Take |
September 1, 2008 |

There are many actions you can take during the election season to
help stop the North American Union and NAFTA Superhighway. We defeated
amnesty for illegal aliens and can do the same with the NAU.
- It is important that we force candidates to publicly reveal
their views on the NAU.
The presidential debates offer a
valuable opportunity to put the presidential candidates on record.
Please contact the moderators of each presidential debate to ask
that they ask each candidate a question about the NAU. Letters
and faxes will carry more weight than emails.
Jim Lehrer, anchor of PBS’s "NewsHour," will
moderate the first presidential debate on Sept. 26.
Gwen Ifill, senior correspondent on PBS’s "NewsHour,"
will host the vice presidential debate on Oct. 2.
Tom Brokaw of NBC News will moderate the presidential debate
on Oct. 7.
Bob Schieffer, host of "Face the Nation," will
moderate the presidential debate on Oct. 15.

- Ask your federal/state/local candidates to pledge to stop the
NAU & the NAFTA superhighway.
Call, write or email them at
their campaign offices. Sign up for email and text alerts at
campaign websites, and you will receive alerts when they will speak
in your area. Go to those rallies/speeches and ask questions to the
candidates about the NAU.
